My name is Ana Nieves and I am an Associate Professor of Art History at Northeastern Illinois University, in Chicago. My work focuses on the ancient artistic traditions of the Peruvian south coast (Nasca area). You can read some of my publications on Academia.edu and view some of my 3D models of rock art panels in the Nasca and Palpa valleys in Sketchfab.
I initially created this website to supplement some of the texts I assigned in one of my classes, but it turned into a larger project and it is still a work in progress. Any feedback regarding the information posted on this website, as well as suggestions for topics to be covered in the future, are more than welcome.
